First, it's important to note that tubing and filters are not included with the bioreactor and must be purchased separately. While BIOWORLDS™ currently does not offer these items in their online shop, they do provide recommendations and guidelines for sourcing the necessary materials.
The default tubing size for the bioreactor is 4mm inner diameter and 6mm outer diameter, and the recommended material is soft silicone. However, Eggsbee™ acknowledges that sourcing tubing may sometimes be difficult, and encourages customers to reach out for assistance if needed.
When it comes to filters, Eggsbee™ suggests using syringe filters with a pore size of 0.2 microns and diameters between 80-150 mm. These can be purchased from a variety of suppliers.
